
Blackawks Assign Matt Henderson to Norfolk

The Chicago Blackawks announced following last nights game that the club has assigned winger Matt Henderson to the Norfolk Admirals. Henderson was recalled from Norfolk on February 3 and did not see any action with the Blackhawks. In 47 games at Norfolk this season, Henderson had 12 goals and 30 points while amassing 65 penalty minutes. Of his 12 goals, three were shorthanded which led the team.
Henderson, 28, was signed by the Blackhawks as a free agent on September 5, 2001. He played most of last season at Norfolk but did get recalled by the Blackhawks seeing action in four games and recording one assist.
