Abbotsford Heat News Release

Abbotsford, B.C. - The solid play of Aldergrove, B.C. native Brad Thiessen would help lead his visiting Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins to a 4-0 victory over the Abbotsford Heat in AHL action Friday night at the Abbotsford Sports and Entertainment Centre.

The tenacious fore-check of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins coupled with a tough turnover would help the visiting squad get out to an early lead. Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins forwards Bryan Lerg and Brett Sterling would provide the second period scoring for the visitors, increasing their lead to 4-0 over the Abbotsford Heat after two periods of play. Back up Heat goaltender J.P. Lamoureux would fill in for Leland Irving in the third period between the pipes with the result remaining the same 4-0.
