LA Galaxy News Release

Jaime Penedo's jaw-dropping save in the LA Galaxy's victory against the Vancouver Whitecaps this past weekend might be as clutch as they come.

As a result, Penedo won the Save of the Week award in Week 26 by a landslide for his stop on Jordan Harvey in the second half of the Galaxy's 1-0 road win in Vancouver. The spectacular 82nd-minute denial occurred after a Kekuta Manneh shot hit the post and fell to Harvey, who then shot in front of the open goal before Penedo scrambled to make a goal-line save that assured LA would take all three points from the Western Conference bout.

Penedo claimed more than 61 percent of all the week's votes.

Week 26 results:

1. Jaime Penedo (LA): 61.81%

2. Michael Gpsurning (SEA): 14.99%

3. Dan Kennedy (CHV): 9.91%

4. Jimmy Nielsen (SKC): 7.11%

5. Raul Fernandez (DAL): 6.18%
