Pelicans Host Biggest Crowd of the Year

It was a great night for baseball at Pelican Park on Saturday as the Pelicans hosted the Coastal Bend Aviators. There were 2,176 fans in attendance for the game, and almost everyone stuck around for the spectacular fireworks show afterwards. There were several groups that joined us at Pelican Park. Olive Baptist Church had a group of over 500 people, and they had a wonderful time while at Pelican Park. Also, on the left field Party Deck, Ray and Naomi Cook were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with their family and friends. For the 50/50 raffle, the winner received a record pot of $238.50! Also, a weekend getaway to Gulf Shores was given away to a lucky winner during the game. It was a wonderful evening at the ballpark!

July 4 @ 4:05pm: All-American Sundae by S.S. Serendipity / TK 101 Remote

S.S. Serendipity will provide a HUGE ice cream sundae before the game for all fans to enjoy. Fans can come down to the left field line and fix up a delicious ice cream sundae! So come spend your Fourth of July at Pelican Park to cheer on your Pensacola Pelicans!

Pelicans Fall to Coastal Bend, 5-4

In front of the year's largest crowd of 2,176 fans, the Pelicans fell to the Coastal Bend Aviators by a score of 5-4. Trey Salinas got Coastal Bend on the board early by knocking a Trey Stephens offering over the right field wall to make the score 1-0. Pensacola answered in the fifth, as Jose Salas hit his first homerun of the year, a two-run shot off of Aviator starter Lavelle Morgan. The Aviators took the lead once again in the top of the sixth inning as John Ramistella belted his third homer of the series, making the score 4-2. The Aviators would add another run in the top of the eighth, and the Pelicans would add two more runs, one courtesy of Joe Espada's third homerun of the season. With the win, Coastal Bend improves to 5-1 (29-25), while Pensacola falls to 4-3 (28-26). Lavelle Morgan (4-4) earned the win, while Trey Stephens (3-5) suffered the loss.

Pelicans Head on the Road...

After an eight game homestand, the Pelicans head on the road on Tuesday, July 6. The Pelicans will travel to Edinburg, TX to take on the Edinburg Roadrunners for a three game series from July 6-July 8. The team will go from Edinburg to Corpus Christi, TX for another three game series against the Coastal Bend Aviators from July 9-11. The Pelicans next home game will be on July 13 at 7:05pm as they welcome the San Angelo Colts. Please call 850-934-8444 for tickets!
