Jackson, MSâ After losing both games of a double header last night, the San Angelo Colts took their revenge, defeating Jackson 10-1.The Colts owned the Senators early and often scoring runs in 3 of the first 4 innings. The biggest inning for the Colts came in the 6th inning, scoring 5 times on 5 hits, including a 2 run homer by Eddie Gerald. Jackson would score their 1 run in the 6th inning, but left the bases loaded.
The Sens left 9 men on base in the loss, which was their first loss at Smith-Wills stadium since June 20th. San Angelo totaled 11 hits in the game and it was 3rd basemen Matt Sanchez leading the charge. Former Senator, Sanchez, was 2-2 with 4 RBI's and 2 runs.
Even though the Sens lost tonight, a win tomorrow will give them the series 3-4. Jackson will throw Kevin Kuklis (0-3) against San Angelo in the last game of a 4 game series.
