Pensacola Pelicans News Release
Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Pelicans are showing their fan appreciation throughout the season and into the play-offs by giving away $1,000 and $10,000 to a local charity.
Throughout the season, fans who attend Pelicans games were given a survey card to vote for their favorite charity. Laura Murphy was the lucky fan to have her name drawn from the survey cards to win $1,000 at the end of the season.
Many great charities were represented, and the American Cancer Society pulled in the most votes. On August 29, the American Cancer Society was awarded a check for $10,000 from Pelicans owners Quint and Rishy Studer.
The Pelicans will play Games 3 & 4 of the South Division Championship Series on Friday and Saturday. Game time is at 7:05 p.m. The best of five series is currently tied at 1-1. Tickets start at $9 and are available on the Pelicans website, www.pensacolapelicans.com or at the Box Office on game days starting at 6 p.m.
