Pelicans Begin 4-Game Home Stand Tonight

Coming off the American Association All-Star break where Pelicans Field Manager Talmadge Nunnari led the South Division to victory, Pensacola returns to town tonight for the first of a four-game home stand against the Wichita Wingnuts.

Tonight at 6:45 is Thirsty Thursday where fans can enjoy $1 drafts and Pepsi drinks all night long sponsored by Budweiser and Pepsi.

Friday, the first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a free Pelicans Dry-Fit T-shirt, which should come in handy with how hot the weather and the Pelicans have been. The t-shirt giveaway is sponsored by DLUX Printing and COX. Gates open at 5:45 p.m.

On Saturday, Budweiser and WEAR-TV3 will present a tremendous post-game fireworks display. Campfire USA will also be celebrating their 100th anniversary at the game. First pitch is schedule for 6:45 p.m.

The Pelicans wrap-up the short four-game home stand on Sunday at 6:05 p.m. with another Covenant Hospice Kids Club Sunday. All Pelicans Kids Club Members wearing their t-shirt get in free. Memberships are available and only $10.

In addition to great baseball, one local school will win $10,000 from the Pelicans at the end of the season. Students who earned tickets from participating in Scoop's Reading Challenge are encouraged to redeem their free youth ticket voucher at the remaining 16 home games. Currently Pea Ridge Elementary is leading the pack and on their way to winning $10K! Tickets are very affordable beginning at just $6 by pre-purchasing five tickets for $30.
