Pelicans and Mudcats Series Opener Rained Out

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C (AUGUST 12, 2014) - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Texas Rangers, had their game with the Carolina Mudcats postponed due to rain on Tuesday. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday, August 13. Both games will be seven-inning contests. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m., and the first pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.

Fans with tickets to tonight's game can exchange those tickets for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any future Pelicans regular season game during the 2014 regular season or beyond, subject to availability. Tickets to Wednesday's regularly scheduled contest will be good for both games of the doubleheader.

The games can be heard live on WRNN AM 1450 ESPN Myrtle Beach, on the TuneIn Radio App, and via the MiLB First Pitch App, beginning with the Hampton Inn Pregame Show at 5:45 p.m. In game one, Chad Bell (5-1, 3.35 ERA) makes the start for Myrtle Beach, but the club has not announced their starter for game two.

Wednesday is Weiner Wednesday featuring $1.00 Hebrew National hot dogs all game long courtesy of WPDE and Gator 107.9.
