
Peach hat trick leads Havoc to win

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Chris Peach scored a hat trick as the Huntsville Havoc beat the Pee Dee Cyclones 7-1 Thursday night.
Peach put the Havoc on the board with a power play goal with 13:20 left in the first period. He added a second goal with 8:43 left in the second period with a another power play goal.
James Patterson put the Havoc up 3-0 with a short-handed goal with 5:58 left in the second.
Geoff Rollins scored the only Cyclone goal of the night when Pee Dee converted a power play opportunity with 4:38 left in the second.
Steve Hynes added the second short-handed goal in the period with :41 left on a great assist from Patterson.
The Havoc would add three goals in the third period the first just 2:19 in as Peach converted the third short-handed goal of the night. Craig Bushey made it 6-1 with 6:33 left in the game and Chris Ferguson finished the scoring with 5:09 left.
Nick Niedert got his first win of the season making 23 saves. Pee Dee was 1-of-7 on the power play while the Havoc was 2-of-6.
Huntsville will host the Knoxville Ice Bears Saturday night at 7:35.
