COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Pacific Coast League today announced Albuquerque Isotopes infielder Tagg Bozied has been named PCL hitter of the week and Nashville Sounds pitcher Lindsay Gulin PCL pitcher of the week for the week of August 18th-24th.

The Sioux Falls, South Dakota native finished the week with a .520 average (13-for-25) with three home runs, twelve RBI and eight runs scored. The 6'3 first baseman added two doubles and a triple on the week. Bozied signed with the San Diego Padres in 2001 after playing a season for Sioux Falls of the Independent Northern League. He played college baseball at the University of San Francisco.

Gulin started the week throwing six innings against Round Rock on August 18th and allowed one run on seven hits and struck out six batters to get the victory. He followed that performance with seven shutout innings against Round Rock on August 23rd and struck out eight batters to get his second victory of the week and improve to 7-and-7 with a 3.63 ERA on the season. Gulin was a mid-season PCL All-Star and pitched one shutout inning in the victory over the International League. The Southampton, New York was also awarded pitcher of the week for the week of May 12-18th.
