The PawSox had a tough day on Friday, dropping the completion of a game suspended from June 20 at McCoy 6-3, then losing the regularly scheduled ballgame 5-3. Robert Coello gave up a pair of solo homers in the night cap as his record fell to 2-4.
The PawSox (44-56) tumbled to a season low 12 games under the .500 plateau. The road record for the staggering Sox, who've lost 6 of their last 7 falls to 16-33. Aaron Bates and Gil Velazquez had 2 hits each for Pawtucket.
The series continues on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. Felix Doubront (3-2, 2.36) faces fellow lefty David Huff (4-0, 3.14).
