Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (42-57) return home for the first time since July 7 to play Game One of a four-game series (and of an eight-game South Division homestand) against the third-place Norfolk Tides (47-53) -- Baltimore's top affiliate. With a 3-2 win last night, the 'Pigs swept the series in Indianapolis and are on a season-high, four-game winning streak. They also won five of their last six contests to finish up 5-3 on the eight-game, West Division swing... Norfolk defeated Syracuse 7-6 last night to take the home series, 3-1. The Tides have won five of their last seven games and 16-12 since losing Game One of the series against the Pigs on June 21...
LHP Brian Mazone (5-10, 3.90) gets the nod opposite LHP Troy Patton (6-9, 4.91).
First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park for Friday Night Fireworks, as presented by The Crayola Factory.
