
Patterson propels Havoc to win

HUNTSVILLE, AL - James Patterson scored two powerplay goals in the third period helping the Huntsville Havoc win their first game of the season with a 6-4 win over the Knoxville Ice Bears
Justin Keller, Bill McCreary, Travis Kauffeldt and Dan Buccella also scored goals for Huntsville. Tim Hockley recorded three assists.
Tim Vitek scored two goals and had an assist for Knoxville. Kevin Swider also scored one goal and had three assists.
Huntsville outshot Knoxville 39-30 and converted on five of the 15 powerplay opportunities. Knoxville converted on one of their eight chances.
Matt Carmichael got the win in goal for the Havoc. He stopped 26 shots. Blair Robertson took the loss, he stopped 33.
The Havoc will host the Fayetteville FireAntz Friday night at 8:30 on CenturyTel Ice at the Von Braun Center.
