Pats to Wear Orange Jerseys for Indigenous Celebration Night; Jersey Auction Now Live

March 12, 2023 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Regina Pats News Release

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats will be wearing the special-edition orange jerseys they wore for warm-ups in February for the entire game on Wednesday, March 15 against the Brandon Wheat Kings, as part of their Indigenous Celebration Night.

Wednesday's game will showcase Indigenous Culture throughout the night and acknowledge the relationship we share with all Indigenous peoples in the Treaty Four Territory.

The orange jerseys are now up for auction, with 100% of net proceeds getting donated to the Orange Jersey Project. Following Wednesday's game, any winning bidders in attendance will receive their jersey directly from the player on the ice.

Fans can place a bid at www.32acutions.com/PatsOrangeJerseyProject for their chance to win one of these unique jerseys. Bidding will close at 8 p.m. on March 15, during Wednesday's game.

About the Orange Shirt Society

The Orange Shirt Society was formed in Williams Lake by the founders of Orange Shirt Day to encourage and support communities to recognize Orange Shirt Day and to support reconciliation events and activities. Our goal is to create awareness of the individual, family, and community intergenerational impacts of Indian Residential Schools through Orange Shirt Day activities, and to promote the concept of "Every Child Matters."
