Regina Pats News Release

REGINA, SK - The Regina Pats are proud to announce that they will be teaming up with the Outdoor Hockey League (OHL) for their game on Friday, January 11th when the Vancouver Giants visit the Brandt Centre.

The Pats are asking all fans to bring new or slightly used equipment to the game on Friday, so that it can be donated to the OHL. At each entrance of the Brandt Centre there will be large containers so that people can drop any pieces of equipment they wish to donate.

The OHL is a free recreational hockey league offered throughout the City of Regina that offers kids the opportunity to play hockey free of barriers like cost and transportation. Registration with the League is free, the rinks are outdoors, so the league can avoid rental fees. All equipment required to play in the league is loaned to the kids for the season. The League has been around for 15 years and currently has a registration of around 350 youth per season.

With the help of CN, which is a leader in the North American rail industry, over 100 children registered in the Outdoor Hockey League will have the opportunity to attend Friday night's game. CN has teamed up with the Regina Pats once again to create a community ticket initiative to offer tickets to such groups as the OHL.
