
Pats Make Pair of Selections in 2023 U.S. Priority Draft

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats make a pair of selections in the 2023 U.S. Priority Draft, picking Parker Trottier 12th overall and Blake Kiley-Ram 34th overall on Wednesday.
Parker Trottier | 2008-Born | Shattuck St. Mary's 14U AAA
Trottier, 15, is the Pats first selection of the 2023 U.S. Priority Draft. The 5-foot-11, 150 lb. left-shot forward hails from Edina, Minnesota and tallied 88 points (43G-45A) in 56 games in 2022-23 with the Shattuck St. Mary's 14U AAA program, finishing second on his team in goals and fourth in points. He is also the grandson of Hockey Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier who hails from Val Marie, Sask.
"Parker is an elite hockey player with incredible hockey sense and skill," said Regina Pats California Scout Tommy Tartaglione. "He is someone who has the potential and the ability to be a top point producer at the next level. We're very excited to have drafted him and look forward to seeing him at camp."
Blake Kiley-Ram | 2008-Born | Phoenix Jr. Coyotes 14A AAA
Kiley-Ram, 14, is the Pats second round pick of the 2023 U.S. Priority Draft. The Scottsdale, Arizona product recorded three points (1G-2A) in four contests in 2022-23 with the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes 14U AAA team. The 5-foot-7, 126 lb. right-shot forward scored 58 points (16G-42A) in 46 games during the 2021-22 season with the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes 13U AAA club.
"Blake is a skilled playmaking forward with great deception and hockey IQ," said Regina Pats Colorado Scout Rhett Gordon. "We're really excited to have drafted him and welcome him to the Pats organization."
The Pats now get set for the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft which will take place on Thursday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m., local time. The Pats two third round picks, two fourths, a fifth round selection, two sixth round picks, and picks from the seventh to the 12th round.
