Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is thrilled to announce the return of Have a Heart Night, in partnership with Western Pizza.
This years Have a Heart Night is set for Wednesday, February 14 in Regina, and will mark the 26th anniversary of the event.
"We're excited to once again team up with Western Pizza and the Heart and Stroke Foundation for the 26th annual Have-a-Heart Night," said Regina Pats CEO Gord Pritchard. "This is an event that our entire organization looks forward to each year and is a great opportunity for our players to connect directly with our fans at Western Pizza locations throughout the City and even on their door-step delivering pizzas. It is a fun night for everyone and we're raising money in support of a great organization and cause."
The Pats will be at Western Pizza locations throughout the city from 6-8 p.m. to assist with orders and help deliver pizzas to customers. Proceeds from delivery fees and tips will be donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
"For 26 years now, we have been hosting the annual 'Have a Heart' campaign at our Western Pizza locations in Regina, and it is one of our favourite and most anticipated events," said Spiro Bonis, owner of Western Pizza. "The excitement and smiles on the faces of people when they get to meet one of their favourite players never gets old. Players and fans interacting and enjoying great pizza all in support of a great cause. That's a winning combination if you ask me."
To date, this initiative has raised $68,500 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation after raising $6,000 last year.
"We're so grateful to the Pats and Western Pizza for their continued support of Heart & Stroke through their annual 'Have a Heart night'," said Carolyn Cyr, Heart & Stroke Director of Health Policy & Systems in Saskatchewan. "It's a fun event that the whole family can enjoy, and the funds raised are greatly appreciated in our work to beat heart disease and stroke across the country and right here in Saskatchewan."
