
Pats and Warriors Meet at the Brandt Centre in Trans-Canada Highway Battle

Regina, Sask. -ÃÂ Tonight, the Trans-Canada Highway battle hits the Brandt Centre as the Regina Pats (4-7-0) host the Moose Jaw Warriors (4-6-0) on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
The Pats began their six game homestand with a 7-3 win over the Swift Current Broncos on Saturday, completing the home-and-home sweep. Regina set season highs in goals scored in a contest (7) and goals in a period (3) on Saturday, while the club recorded a season high 48 shots on net and 19 in the third period in their 4-1 win on Friday in Swift Current.
Ryker Evans (1G-3A), Connor Bedard (2G-1A), Logan Nijhoff (2G), Tanner Howe (1G-1A) and Tom Cadieux (2A) all recorded multi-point efforts while Matthew Kieper made 24 saves on 27 shots for his fourth win of the season. The Pats went 2-for-4 on the power play and 4-for-7 on the penalty kill, while the final shots were 39-27 for the Pats.
On the other side, the Moose Jaw WarriorsÃÂ are coming off a 4-3 overtime win over the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday, which snapped their four game losing-streak, with two of those losses to Winnipeg. The Warriors have three players recognized by NHL Central Scouting with Denton Mateychuk (A level), Eric Alarie (C level) and Jagger Firkus (C level) named to the Preliminary Players to Watch List.
Ryder Korczak's 13 points in 10 games is tied for 12th in league scoring, while he ranks third in faceoff wins with 142 to go along with a 61% faceoff win percentage. Braden Yager leads all rookies in goals with seven while his 12 points, five power play points and 29 shots on net rank third among rookies.ÃÂ Potential first round pickÃÂ Denton Mateychuk has produced eight points in 10 games which is ninth among defencemen in points this season.

This will mark the second of 10 meetings this season and the second of five in the first half.
