Albany, NY (October 29, 2007) - The Albany Patroons welcome Jim Rainwater, a 6'6", Forward and 1999 graduate of the University of Portland.
Jim averaged 8.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg and was named the 1999 MVP and 1999 Defensive Player of the Year. Jim played with the California All Stars against NCAA Teams in the fall of 1999.
He later played in the ABA with the Hermosillo Seris (2004-5), the Los Angeles Stars (2005), the California Buzz (2005) and the Bellevue BlackHawks (2005 and 2006). Jim Rainwater has had experience playing for Coach Askew, as he played for Askew when he was on the roster of the ABA's Tacoma Navigators (2006).
Prior to signing with the Patroons, Jim played for the 2006-7 King County Royals of the ABA.
