Patroons Defuse SkyRockets
For the fourth road game in a row, the 10-5 Patroons prevented the Minot SkyRockets from launching into the CBA win column, this time taking 5 1/2 standing points from the home team, by a final score of 121-98. The Patroons dominated the boards and out rebounded the hosts, 51 to 39. Coach Rowland called tonight's game "another classic CBA matchup and hard battle where tonight, the Patroon's strong defensive effort proved to be a factor in the end". In addition to the defensive effort, the Patroons continue to put up very impressive scoring stats with Patroon Mike Campbell dropping 23 points, nightly go to Rod Nealy had 21 and 7 rebounds while "Showtime" Hill made his mark tonight with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Harvey Thomas who has been stellar on the current road trip had 19 with 8 rebounds. UAlbany standout Lucious Jordan had 8 in tonight's winning effort.
The Patroon's are up early tomorrow, catching a plane on their way to East Kentucky to take on the Miners, Saturday night in Pikeville.
