Patroons Win Fourth In A Row
January 30, 2009 (Albany, NY) - The Albany Patroons defeated the East Kentucky Miners 126-110 behind a 34 point and 9 rebound performance from Harvey Thomas. The first quarter ended tied at 31. Eleven second quarter points by the CBA Player of The Week, vaulted the Patroons to a 69-52 half-time advantage. The Patroons never looked back on their way to the win, taking 5.5 of 7 quarter poitns. Patroons Mike Campbell and Shawn Fountain contributed 22 and 20 points respectively. Fountain also had 9 assists. The Miners were led by Jermaine Blackburn's 24 points. Miner's Galen Young just missed a triple-double scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the Miners in defeat. Albany returns to the Armory for a Saturday night 7:05 pm game against the Miners, looking for a three game sweep!
