
Cavs Ground Skyrockets in Game Two

LAWTON, Okla. - The Lawton- Fort Sill Cavalry dominated the Minot Skyrockets in the second game of the Cavs three game home stand. The Cavs took the game 99-74.
The Cavs were up 27-16 after the first quarter. Cavs Head Coach Micheal Ray Richardson cleared the bench for the second night in a row only minutes into the second quarter.
The Cavs broke the game open in the third quarter, taking the quarter 23-7. The Cavs rebounded strong on both sides of the ball during the third.
The Cavs second string put on a show for the fans during the fourth quarter. With about three minutes left in the game, Cavs guard Eddie Smith grabbed a rebound and took it coast to coast scoring two with an easy layup. Smith then stole the ball and with a blind pass set up an Albert White slam. Smith had 9 points and 6 assists during the game.
The Cavs were lead by point guard DeAnthony Bowden who put up a game high 18 points and came close to his first double-double of the season with 9 assists.
"It is great when the bench comes off and performs well. It's hard playing the same team so many games in a row, but a game is a game," Bowden said.
Cavs center Shaun Daniels put up two long jump shots during the third quarter and shot 100% from the free throw line during the game. Daniels also had 13 points in the game.
Cavs forward, Darold Crow contributed 13 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and had 4 assists.
Elvin Mims had his sixth double-double of the season, with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Attendance was high on Friday night, with 866 Cavs fans cheering on their team.
The Cavs and Skyrockets face off again Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. at the Great Plains Coliseum. After Saturday, the next Cavs home game will be Feb. 16.
