
Patriots Rally in Late Innings to Win It 2-1

Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots (16-12, 66-32) defeated the Camden Riversharks (9-19, 38-60) 2-1 at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday night.
All the scoring for both teams took place in the seventh inning. In the top of the frame, Camden went up 1-0 on an RBI single by Joel Guzman.
Somerset immediately answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning. After a walk by Nate Spears and a single by Aharon Eggleston, the big blow came off the bat of Adam Donachie, who drove both home on a two-run single for the 2-1 final.
Mickey Storey (7-3) picked up the win, allowing a run on four hits and seven strikeouts in seven innings pitched. Bill Murphy (3-12) suffered the loss, allowing two earned runs on five hits and six strikeouts in 6.2 innings pitched. Jon Hunton earned his 27th save of the season with a scoreless inning pitched, highlighted by an extraordinary double play turned by David Vidal, Spears, and Donachie.
