See ball, hit ball was not the name of the game Sunday at Carolina. Keys batters walked a season-high 13 times, as Frederick upended Carolina 6-5 taking the series finale to sweep the series in Zebulon, NC.

Eight of the nine Keys batters walked in the game. Up 3-1 in the sixth inning, the Keys got a one-out double from centerfielder Glynn Davis. A wild pitch moved him to third and he was singled home by left fielder Johnny Ruettiger. Consecutive walks then loaded the bases and catcher Allan de Sam Miguel hit a ground ball that was botched by Carolina second baseman Yhoxian Medina. Two runs scored and the Keys led 6-1.

The Mudcats did not go away easily though. Carolina rallied to with a run, scoring four times with two outs in the sixth inning. Frederick's bullpen was left needing to put up zero's again. They would do so.

Relievers David Walters and Marcel Prado combined for 3 and 1/3rd innings of scoreless baseball. The Keys pen was critical in the series allowing no runs in 11 and 1/3rd innings combined. Frederick outscored Carolina 10-0 in the series when the other's bullpen's were in the game.

The winner was Zach Davies (2-2) who allowed five runs in 5 and 2/3rd innings. Prado picked up his second save of the series and third of the game. Right-fielder Brendan Webb had his second multi-hit game. Designated Hitter Zane Chavez saw his eight-game hit streak end, but did walk three times. The Keys left 16 men on-base in the game.

The Keys now head to Winston-Salem for a three game series beginning Monday, May 6th at 7:00 p.m. Left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez (2-2) will be on the hill to make the start.
