This past week
Friday, January 27th Swift Current Broncos 3 Regina Pats 2
The Broncos and Pats met for the 4th time this season and for the final time at the Brandt Centre. Taylor Vause of the Broncos had a great night with a pair of goals including the game winner in a 3-2 Swift Current victory. Lane Scheidl and Dyson Stevenson each scored for the Pats in the loss. It's the first victory for the Broncos at the Brandt Centre since a 4-3 shootout win on January 16th of 2010.
Saturday, January 28th Saskatoon Blades 8 Regina Pats 1
The Blades held a 2-1 lead, then with a minute remaining in the second period when a Darren Dietz goal gave the Blades a 3-1 lead heading into the third. The final 20 minutes was all Saskatoon, scoring five time en route to the 8-1 victory over the Pats. Morgan Klimchuk scored in the loss, while Jordan Weal extended his point streak to 13 games with an assist on the goal.

Looking Ahead
Wednesday, February 1st - Pats @ Raiders 7:00pm Art Hauser Centre
This is the sixth of eight meetings this season between the Pats and the Raiders and the final time this season in Prince Albert. The Pats have won four of the first five games including a 2-0 victory on January 11th at the Art Hauser Centre. 16 year old rookie defenceman, Josh Morrissey was a teammate of Morgan Klimchuk and Kyle Burroughs on Team Pacific at the World U-17 Hockey Challenge. Morrissey also has four points in four games against the Pats this season
Friday, February 3rd - Pats @ Broncos 7:00pm Credit Union I-Plex
This is the fifth of six meetings between the Pats and the Broncos this season. Swift Current won for the first time in two seasons at the Brandt Centre with a 3-2 victory this past Friday night. 20 year old forward, Taylor Vause has been solid against the Pats this season with 2 goals and 2 assists in the four meetings.
Saturday, February 4th - Hurricanes @ Pats 7:00pm Brandt Centre
This is the first time that the Pats and the Hurricanes have met since the third weekend of the season on October 7th in a 5-4 Pats win in a shootout at the Brandt Centre. Former Pat, Damien Ketlo has taken over the starting goaltender reigns for the Hurricanes and this could be the first time that he will see the Brandt Centre ice since the pre-season as a member of the Pats.
Saturday is also Rick Hansen night as the Man In Motion 25th anniversary tour is making a stop in Regina. The marquee event will be at the Brant Centre that night with Rick dropping the puck before the game

Community Appearances:
There is still 2 months left in the season, but the Pats have already have given back over 2000 hours of community service back into the city of Regina and the surrounding area. Almost 300 to the Regina Food Bank, 200 at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre and 200 for Food For Learning.

Along with the community initiatives the Pats take part in, there are also many relationships built in the community with our many corporate partnerships. Home Depot is one of the title sponsors for the Regina Pats and two of the highlight events is the street hockey at the Home Depot locations across the city and just last week was the Home Depot "Practice with the Pats" with the Novice Thunderbirds from Hockey Regina.
In The Locker Room
Dominik Volek and Chandler Stephenson will be taking part in the Home Hardware NHL/CHL Top Prospects game this Wednesday in Kelowna. Stephenson (ranked 36th among North American skaters according to NHL CS) will play for Team Orr while Volek (ranked 95th among North American skaters according to NHL CS) will play for Team Cherry. The game will be broadcast live to a national audience on Sportsnet beginning at 7:00 pm Pacific

Nathan Churchill:
The Pats first goaltender picked (5th round, 106th overall) in the 2011 WHL bantam Draft is currently playing for the Chicago Fury in the U.S. Tier 1 Elite Hockey league in the U-16 Midget Minor division.
The Fury are tops in their division, and second in the country. He leads the Fury in wins with 17 which is good for 2nd in the league and his 1.95 goals against average is 8th in the league.
