
Blades Welcome Swift Current Broncos

The Saskatoon Blades (30-19-0-1) kick off their three game week by playing host to the Swift Current Broncos (19-26-2-3) on Tuesday night.
The Blades are coming off of a victory over the Regina Pats on Saturday night.
Saskatoon exploded in the third period as they scored 5 times in the frame to beat the Pats 8-1. The Blades led 3-1 heading into the final frame with their first three markers coming from Brett Stovin, Lukas Sutter and Darren Dietz. In the third, the Blades outshot Regina 15-6 and got their goals from Stovin, Jake Trask, Dietz and two from Josh Nicholls.
Andrey Makarov wasn't overly busy in the game, stopping 19 of the 20 shots that he faced.
In the 8-1 win, Head Coach and GM Lorne Molleken surpassed Ernie 'Punch' McLean for 2nd all time on the WHL coaching win list with his 549th career win.
The game against the Broncos marks the third meeting of the season between the clubs and the first one in Saskatoon. The game goes at 7:05PM tomorrow night from the Credit Union Centre. Saskatoon Blades Hockey, It Starts Here!
