Parkes Reassigned to Toledo

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday reassigned left wing Trevor Parkes from the Grand Rapids Griffins to the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

A native of Fort Erie, Ontario, Parkes has skated in 34 games with the Griffins this season, recording nine points (3-6-9) and 35 penalty minutes. He's also appeared in three games with the Walleye, notching four points (2-2-4) and two penalty minutes. The 21-year-old forward has a combined 25 points (11-14-25) and 62 penalty minutes in 85 professional games between Grand Rapids and Toledo.

The Griffins will hit the road this week to begin a stretch of 14 of their next 18 games away from Van Andel Arena. The team will play three games in three nights, starting with Milwaukee on Friday at 8 p.m. EST before visiting Peoria on Saturday at 8:05 p.m. EST and returning to Milwaukee on Sunday at 4 p.m. EST.
