Owlz Drop Series Finale 8-2 in Grand Junction

Orem was unable to pick up a series sweep this evening, as the offense was quiet and the bullpen struggled after Michael Roth's departure in an 8-2 loss.
The Owlz got the scoring started in the top of the 1st when Joel Capote singled and scored with two outs on an error by Michael Ramirez.
Grand Junction tied the game in the bottom of the 3rd when Correlle Prime led off the inning with a double and came home on a single by Michael Ramirez.
The Rockies took the lead in the 5th, scoring two runs on four hits against Patrick Lowery. Lowery surrendered three runs in his three innings of work, giving up seven hits.
Orem inched closer in the 6th, scoring one run on a sacrifice fly by Michael Snyder that scored Joel Capote. Capote finished 2-for-3, reaching base in four of his five times at the plate.
The Rockies put the game away with two runs in the 6th, 1 in the 7th and 2 in the 8th. Orem's bullpen struggled tonight, giving up eight runs in six innings.
Michael Roth made the start for Orem and had no trouble in his two innings, throwing two hitless innings with one walk and one strikeout.
Jayson Aquino took the mound for his professional debut and he made it a memorable one. The Dominican southpaw went 5.2 innings, allowing just two runs, one earned on four hits and three walks. He exited with men at 1st and 2nd in the 6th, but Brian Rike picked him up by striking out Andrew Ray to end the inning.
Orem will now head home for a six-game homestand that begins on Friday night against Idaho Falls. It will be Olympics Day at the ballpark, so come out and root for your Owlz who are in first place in the second half!
