Spokane Chiefs News Release

The Spokane Chiefs raised over $16,000 on Saturday night as a part of Comcast Jersey off the Back Night. The Chiefs auctioned off 23 players jerseys, as well as Boomer the Bear's game worn jersey, in a silent auction that lasted through the second period. At the start of the second intermission, fans had one last opportunity to bid on the road red jerseys as the auction was done live.

The proceeds go to benefit the Spokane Chiefs Continuing Education Fund, which is used at the end of a player's junior career and guarantees one year of tuition and books to a player for each season that they compete in the Western Hockey League. In addition, all education costs for current players taking college courses are paid for through the fund.

The Spokane Chiefs will host the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday night in their only match-up of the season and the Prince George Cougars on Saturday. Tickets for both nights are available by calling the Chiefs office at (509) 535-PUCK or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.
