Chico Outlaws News Release

(Chico, CA. September 8th, 2010) Game two of the GBL North Division playoffs between Chico and Calgary has been postponed due to heavy rains sweeping through northern California on Wednesday night.

Due to previously scheduled air travel for both teams to Calgary, game two of the series will be played in Calgary with the Outlaws as the home team. Games three thru five will be played with the Vipers as the home team.

Game two of the series will now be on Friday night, September 10th, starting at 6:05 PM PDT (7:05 PM MDT). Leftie Mark McLemore (7-5) will start for Chico opposite Calgary's Mac Suzuki (2-2), a matchup of two former big leaguers.

Having a visiting team be the home team in a playoff series is not unprecendented in the GBL; it happened in the 2009 playoffs when game two of the series between St George and Tucson was postponed by rain in St George and forced the game to be played in Tucson.

Chico leads the best-of-five series one game to none after a 5-1 win in the series opener last night at Nettleton Stadium.

All Outlaws playoff games will be broadcast live on the Outlaws Baseball Network and fans can catch all the action with Dan Hawkins, the voice of the Outlaws. Friday's pre game show will start at 5:50 PM PDT. Watch live on www.justin.tv.com/chicooutlawsbaseball or audio only at www.chicooutlaws.com.
