Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League announce that the outdoor activities for their K-Wing-A-Palooza event for today, October 23rd have been cancelled due to rain.
Despite the rain dampening the outside activities, there is still plenty of inside fireworks planned as the K-Wings host the Port Huron Beacons tonight at 7:30 p.m. The game, which is the home opener for the K-Wings, is sponsored by COOL 101, Michigan Orthodontics Specialist, and Meijer.
All fans that enter the building will receive a 2004-05 magnetic schedule courtesy of Meijer. The K-Wings are encouraging fans to arrive to the game early as the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive Thundersticks courtesy of Michigan Orthodontics Specialist.
Also appearing at K-Wing-A-Palooza will be the "ZOO"perstars. The inflatable creatures that are based on professional athletes haven't appeared in Kalamazoo for over two years. The "ZOO"perstars will be performing during the first and second period intermissions.
After the game, K-Wing fans will get the opportunity to skate with their hometown team, as the entire 2004-05 team will participate in a public skate.
