Countdown to Face-Off

October 23, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

After three games on the road to start the season, the K-Wings return home to Wings Stadium to face the Port Huron Beacons. Both teams enter tonight's game tied for third place in the Central Division.

For Kalamazoo, tonight's game is a chance to get back to their winning ways. After defeating Motor City on opening night, the K-Wings have dropped two straight including a 3-0 setback last night to Flint. The K-Wings will get some added firepower back in the lineup, as Tyler Willis is set to make his season debut. Willis missed the K-Wings first three games due to injury.

Like Kalamazoo, Port Huron started the season on a winning note with a victory over Richmond. Since then the Beacons have lost two straight games including their home opener last night to Fort Wayne. The Beacons have received solid production at the blue-line, as Mark Lindsay leads all Beacons in scoring with 5 points. Tonight's game is game two of three games in three nights for Port Huron. The Beacons will return back to Port Huron tomorrow to play Kansas City.
