Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
The Waterloo Black Hawks were run over by the Des Moines Buccaneers Saturday, coming out on the short end of a 7-1 decision.
The lone Black Hawk goal came at 3:31 of the second period when Brett Olson centered a puck for Billy Maday, who went crashing past the net into the end boards, but somehow redirected the puck in on the way. It was a 2-1 game at that point.
Four third period goals stretched the margin of Des Moines' victory. Nielsson Arcibal scored twice in the game for the hosts.
The Hawks celebrate President's Day with a game at Tri City Monday. Waterloo is back at home next weekend for a two-game series with the Green Bay Gamblers.
