Otters select Czech forward

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League selected Czech Republic forward Stanislav Polodna with the 12th overall pick in today's Canadian Hockey League Import Draft being held via conference call and the Internet.
The 17 year-old right winger has been identified seventh in Europe in a preliminary list compiled by NHL Central Scouting for the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
"He's a dynamic skater who goes to the net and he's committed to coming to Erie," Otters Managing Partner and General Manager Sherry Bassin said. "He's proven to be a scorer with a very good shot and he's a significant NHL prospect and potential first rounder."
Polodna spent the 2005-2006 season with the Ceske Budejovica Jrs. in the Czech Republic where he scored 10 goals and five assists in 42 games. He also represented the Czech Republic at the 2006 World Under-17 Hockey Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan where he registered two goals and two assists in four games in helping his squad to a Bronze Medal.

Platinum tickets are $13.50, Gold Tickets are $11.50 and Children (12 and under) are $9.50 in any seating area. All single game ticket prices include the City of Erie Entertainment Tax.
