The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League have announced the details of the 2012 Erie Otters Draft Weekend presented by Springhill Suites by Marriott and Colony Pub and Grille in cooperation with the Erie County Convention Center Authority, which will take place Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7.
The centerpiece of the weekend will take place April 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. when the Bayfront Convention Center hosts the unveiling of the first overall choice made by the Otters in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. The first overall selection will be announced live from the event at 5:00 p.m.
Corporate partners are invited to the event, and it also provides an opportunity for Season Ticket Holders to renew their tickets for the 2012-2013 OHL season at Tullio Arena. Those who place a $50 deposit on their 2012-2013 Season Tickets will have an opportunity to meet the first overall draft pick and enjoy light refreshments.
Season Ticket Holder renewal information for the 2012-2013 season will be mailed to homes by the end of the week.
The 2012 OHL Priority Selection will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7 when the Otters will begin the 15-round process. They will hold 14 choices in the draft, including five of the first 55 selections.
