Erie Otters News Release

Erie, PA - The Erie Otters were unable to solve Franky Palazzese for most of the game as the Kitchener Rangers came out of Erie with a 3-1 win over the Otters Saturday night.

Mike Catenacci scored for the Rangers three minutes and 14 seconds into the contest to give the Rangers an early one-nothing lead.

Nick Betz tied the game for the Otters with less than nine minutes left in the first as he deflected a shot by Tyler McCarthy for his second goal of the season.

The Rangers regained the lead a minute later on a goal by Brandon Francisco and added another tally 50 seconds later courtesy of Ryan Murphy.

That would be all of the scoring as each team was shut down by good goaltending from Ramis Sadikov (32 saves for Erie) and Palazzese (41 saves for Kitchener).

The Otters head back on the road to take on the Sarnia Sting Friday night at 7:00 p.m. Fans can listen to all the action on Fox Sports Radio AM 1330 The Fan or online at ottershockey.com (courtesy of the James H. Cross Company).
