Erie Otters News Release

London, ON - Tyson Teichmann performed well in his first start in six games with 38 saves, but the offense was unable to come through for the Erie Otters, who lost 4-1 to the London Knights Saturday night.

The Knights took a two-nothing lead into the first intermission after power play goals by Dane Fox and Vladislav Namestnikov.

Namestnikov added another goal 101 seconds into the second period to give the Knights a three-goal lead.

The Otters were able to get on the board with a power play goal almost eight minutes into the second, as Sondre Olden found Greg McKegg for a breakaway and the captain lifted a wrist shot through the blocker side of Michael Houser for his team-leading seventh goal of the season.

Josh Anderson would put away the game for the Knights with just over three minutes to go, the only shot of the 19 by the Knights in the third period that Teichmann was unable to stop.

Next up for the Otters is a Sunday afternoon game in Plymouth against the Whalers at 2:00 p.m. Fans can listen to the game on Fox Sports Radio AM 1330 The Fan.

Red Cross Night is Saturday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. when the Otters host the Guelph Storm. Bring winter clothes (jacket, gloves, hat, etc.) and get into the game for $2.00. All donations will go to the American Red Cross. For tickets, call 452-4857 or log on to ottershockey.com.
