Guelph, Ont. - Scott Kosmachuk's third period goal was the difference for the Guelph Storm as they defeated the Erie Otters, 3-2, Friday night in Guelph.
Hayden Hodgson opened up the scoring for the Otters 2:31 into the game as he ripped a shot from the left circle for his second goal of the season.
Kosmachuk tied the game late in the first period to make the score one-all after 20 minutes of play.
Connor McDavid broke the tie 6:19 into the second as he attempted a pass from the right circle towards Connor Brown that bounced off the right leg of Garret Sparks and into the net for his 14th goal of the season.
The Storm tied the game with 1:51 left in the second as Brock McGinn scored a power play goal to make it 2-2 going into the third.
Kosmachuk scored the game-winner 2:51 into the third period to complete a three-point night and secure the win for the Storm.
