Evansville Otters News Release

RICHMOND, IN – The Richmond Roosters came back from a 6-1 deficit scoring four fifth inning runs to defeat the Evansville Otters 10-9.

The Otters scored two runs in the top of the second and four more in the third taking a 6-1 lead. Richmond would score five in the bottom half of the inning to come all the way back at 6-6.

The Otters scored once in the fourth to make it 7-6, but the lead was short lived as the Roosters scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth, capped off by a 3-run homer by Jose Sandoval, Jr. to make it 10-7.

Evansville would make a game of it scoring single runs in the seventh and eighth, the last of which was a homerun by Brett McCutchan. It was a good game for McCutchan who hit two homers and scored three runs for the Otters.

The Otters send Jeremy Lewis to the mound on Sunday to start their home series against the Washington Wild Things. Lewis is 2-0 with a 1.74 ERA this season. Washington will counter with Matt McDonnell.
