
Otters double Sting

SARNIA, Ont. â Geoff Platt and Rob Hisey enjoyed multiple-point games to lead the Erie Otters to a 6-3 win over the Sarnia Sting in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight at the Sarnia Sport and Entertainment Centre. Platt and Hisey both collected two goals and two assists. Hisey extended his point-scoring streak to 11 games with his performance. The overage forward has netted six goals and 12 assists during his streak. Vince Scott added a goal and an assist. Chris Greene extended his point-scoring streak to six games (2-5-7) with an assist while Sean O'Connor moved his streak to five games (3-3-6) with an assist. Richard Clune and Jamie Fraser paced the String with a goal and an assist each. Brad Ethimiou netted the other Sarnia goal. The Otters ended a five game road winless streak (0-3-1-1) with the win to improve to 8-3-1-1 on the season. Sarnia saw their losing streak move to six games as they dropped to 4-10-1-1. The two teams were tied at one after one. Erie led 3-2 heading into the third. The Sting out shot the Otters 42-37 in the game as Josh Disher posted his second straight win. The three stars of the game were 1. Platt; 2. Clune and 3. Hisey.
The Otters get back at tomorrow night (Saturday) when they travel to London to take on the Knights (13-0-1) at the John Labatt Centre in a 7 p.m. start. The game can be heard live on SportsRadio 1330 The FAN and at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company) beginning with the pre-game show 15 minutes prior ot the opening face-off. The next Otters home game takes place on November 5th when the Toronto St. Michael's Majors (4-6-3-1) visit the Tullio Arena sponsored by Rocket 101. The first 1,000 fans into the game receive a free Erie Otters/Rocket 101 decal. Tickets for the game are available at all Erie-area TicketMaster locations as well as the Erie Civic Center Box Office.
