
Otters Defeated in Plymouth, 7-1

Plymouth, MI - The Erie Otters lost their fourth straight game as the Plymouth Whalers defeated the Otters, 7-1, Sunday afternoon.
The Whalers led two-nothing after 20 minutes of play thanks to goals by Rickard Rakell and Jamie Devane.
In the second period, the Whalers poured it on with four goals, which included a second tally by Rakell. The Otters were outshot by the Whalers, 22-7, in the second period.
The Otters broke up the goal drought two minutes and five seconds into the third period as *Stephen Harper* knocked in a rebound during an Erie power play for his sixth goal of the season. Stefan Noesen scored later in the third to complete the scoring for the Whalers.
The Otters were outshot 53-34 in the game, despite outshooting Plymouth in the third period, 18-12.
Next up for the Otters is a Wednesday night contest in Owen Sound against the Attack at 7:00 p.m. Fans can listen to the game on Fox Sports Radio AM 1330 The Fan.
