Otters Add Picks in Trade with IceDogs

Erie, Pennsylvania - Erie Otters General Manager Dave Brown announced today that the team has acquired the 54th and 70th overall selections in Friday's first night of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection in exchange for the 39th overall pick in a trade with the Niagara IceDogs.

The Otters sent Sudbury's 2nd round selection, the 39th overall pick, that they acquired Wednesday in a deal with the Mississauga Steelheads, to the Niagara IceDogs for their 3rd Round Pick (54th overall) and Erie's original 4th round selection, the 70th overall selection.

Today's trade brings the Otters total picks to 16 in the two-day annual Priority Selection. In sequential order:

For the first time since the implementation of the annual Priority Selection online in 2001, the event will be held over the course of two days, with Rounds 1-3 being held on Friday, June 4 beginning at 7:00 PM. Rounds 4-15 will take place on Saturday, June 5 beginning at 9:00 AM.
