Otters acquire Hasani

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League announced today that they have acquired Adam Hasani from the London Knights in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection.

Hasani, a 17 year-old left winger from Freibourg, Switzerland, is in his first OHL season after being selected by the Knights 58th overall in the 2006 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft. The 6-foot, 175-pound forward, who has a goal and two assists in 25 games this season, is expected to make his Otters debut tomorrow (Friday) night in Mississauga.

The Otters (9-27-0-2) return to action tomorrow when they complete a five-game road trip in Mississauga against the IceDogs (22-13-0-2). The game can be heard live on 1330 Erie's ESPN Radio and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company) starting with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m.

Saturday the Otters return home to take on the Sarnia Sting (21-11-2-3) in a 7:30 p.m. start at the Tullio Arena presented by Cellular One. It's also JetRadio 1400 Coats for Kids Night. Donate a reusable coat at the game and receive a pair of Platinum Tickets to the Otters game on January 24th against the Guelph Storm. Limit one pair of tickets per person. Tickets for the game are on sale now at all Erie-area TicketMaster locations as well as the Civic Center Box Office.
