Ottawa 67's News Release

Tonight's game may have started slow, but the Brampton Battalion's first goal, close to half way through the second period, started a scoring frenzy - and gave the Battalion the win (5-2) over the Ottawa 67's.

Ottawa had many close calls (see picture above), but in the end they were outshot 33 to 48 by an aggressive team.

Every month of the season, Welch LLP recognizes the scholastic achievements of a 67's player with a bursary. The recipient of this month's award is no. 4, Carnevale (see below). He is also the night's featured player - but you can read all about that by scrolling below.

A special treat tonight was the Le Phare Elementary School Choir who sang the national anthem from their seats in section 23 (see bottom picture.)

Your Ottawa 67's and tonight's game sponsor Convergys want to thank all our fans who brought along sport socks for the Ottawa Mission - The collection bin was overflowing thanks to your generosity!

We hope to see you again, or for the first time, this Sunday at 2 p.m. when your 67's take on the Kingston Frontenacs.
