
O'Sullivan, Tricoglou grab weekly hardware

DURHAM, NC - OF Pat O'Sullivan of Coastal Bend and RHP Jamie Tricoglou of St. Joe were selected by Sportsticker, the American Association's official statistician, as Batter and Pitcher of the Week for the week of August 14-20.
O' Sullivan went 15-for-30 with three doubles, three home runs to go along with a .900 slugging percentage as Coastal Bend had a 6-3 week and are within 5.5 games of first place Fort Worth. The Marietta, GA resident in a 7-6 victory over the Pensacola Pelicans Tuesday went 3-for-3 with three runs scored, three RBIs and a home run. In 19 games for the Aviators, O'Sullivan is hitting .459 with four home runs, 16 RBIs, and 34 hits.
The 29-year-old was a 34th round selection of the New York Mets in 1999. In his now eight year professional career, O'Sullivan has played in the Mets and Baltimore Orioles organizations along with independent league teams of Greenville, Ozark, and Edinburg. He also spent time in the Mexican League with Reynosa and San Luis Potosi.
In four outings this past week, Tricoglou allowed no runs on one hit with five strikeouts and three saves. This season the Chattanooga, TN resident has a record of 5-3 with a 2.63 ERA and has collected 62 strikeouts in 61 2/3 innings pitched. Tricoglou also has 19 saves which is good for third in the American Association.
The 26-year-old last played professional baseball with Tri-City of the Northwest League in 2001. In 24 games played, he accumulated a record of 2-2 with a 2.83 ERA. He had 29 strikeouts in 28 2/3 innings pitched and had an opponent's batting average of .188.
