York, Pennsylvania - The Somerset Patriots (10-16, 52-44) held off a late push from the York Revolution (18-8, 52-43) for a 3-2 Wednesday night win at PeoplesBank Park.

The Patriots broke the ice in the top of the fourth inning. Teodoro Martinez (2) led off the inning with a solo home run over the left field fence. Later in the fourth, Michael Ohlman doubled down the third base line and scored a couple of batters later on a passed ball.

Somerset added an insurance run in the top of the seventh on a Martinez sacrifice fly, increasing the lead to 3-0.

Meanwhile, Liam O'Sullivan (W, 4-6) was enjoying one of his best starts of the year. The righty at one point retired 11 batters in a row and held the Revs off the board over 7.2 innings of work. O'Sullivan scattered just six hits, allowed one walk and struck out five batters in the winning effort.

The Revolution rallied for two two-out runs in the bottom of the ninth on a Henry Castillo RBI single and a James Skelton RBI double, but Tyler Cloyd (S, 2) preserved the lead to finish off the game.

York starter Ricky Eusebio (L, 0-1) yielded two runs (one earned) over 4.1 innings to suffer his first loss of the season.

The Patriots conclude their series against the Revolution Thursday night. Southpaw David Holmberg takes the mound for Somerset against York righty Mitch Atkins. First pitch at PeoplesBank Park is scheduled for 6:30 pm.

The 2019 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford continues on the road until Friday, August 9th when the Patriots return home to host the Sugar Land Skeeters. For tickets, stop by the box office located at TD Bank Ballpark, call (908) 252-0700, or visit www.somersetpatriots.com.
