
Osprey have 7-game win streak snapped by Voyagers, 11-2

GREAT FALLS, MONT - The Missoula Osprey had their seven-game win streak come to an end on Friday here at Centene Stadium, as 1,303 fans watched the Great Falls Voyagers pick up an 11-2 win.
The Osprey (24-13) scored first, on a Stephen Cardullo triple and a run-scoring single by Ty Linton. The Voyagers (17-20) would answer with three runs in the home half of the second and four more in the third off of Missoula starter Enrique Burgos (3-3) to build a 7-1 lead and not look back.
The Osprey were held to just seven hits, with Linton getting two hits, scored a run and collected a RBI, while Stephen Cardullo added two hits and scored a run. Chris Ellison, Bryan Henry and Eric Groff - who extended his hit streak to 15 games - added singles for Missoula.
The Osprey and Voyagers will resume their three-game series here at Centene Stadium on Saturday, which will be the final game of the first half of the 2011 season. The Osprey will send right-hander Jesse Darrah to the mound, while the Voyagers will counter with left-hander Pete Gehle.
