
Chukars Add Catcher Ryan Jenkins

The Idaho Falls Chukars have added catcher Ryan Jenkins to their Pioneer League roster, effective for Friday's game.
The 6'2", 215-pound right-hander joins the Chukars from the Midwest League Kane County Cougars (A), after starting the year with the Arizona Royals.
In 33 games for the Cougars, the 24-year-old Jenkins was batting .237 with one home run, seven doubles and 14 RBI. He hit .273 with one double and three RBI in five Arizona League games.
Jenkins was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 17th round of the June 2010 Draft out of the University of Auburn. The Chukars now have four active catchers on the roster and two former Auburn Tigers in Jenkins and Justin Fradejas.
