Osprey Cruise to 22-5 Win

The Helena Brewers (13-25) lost their fifth straight on Friday in a 22-5 blowout at the hands of the Missoula Osprey (17-21).

The Osprey scored 18 of their runs in the seventh and eighth innings alone which included two home runs. Fernery Ozuna hit a grand slam for his third hit of the night. He would finish with 7 RBI in the affair.

Justin Williams extended his league-leading hit streak to 20 games after he came up with three hits including an RBI double and three runs scored.

At one point Devin Williams (2-5) would retire 11 consecutive batters before giving up three runs in the fifth. He would strike out four in his five innings on the hill.

The Brewers trailed just 4-2 going to the seventh when the wheels really fell off. Eight runs scored in the seventh and ten runs scored in the eighth. The ten-run eighth is the most runs allowed in an inning all year by the Brewers and they allowed season-highs in runs and hits for the game at 22 for each category.

The Brewers and Osprey will face off in game two of their three-game series Saturday from Kindrick Field. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
