MISSOULA, MONT - After starting his professional baseball journey in 2013, former Missoula Osprey outfielder Justin Williams has been called to join the Tampa Bays Rays Saturday. The 2013 second round draft choice of the Arizona Diamondbacks is the 65th Osprey alum to reach the show.

Selected out of Terrebonne High School in Louisiana, Williams began his pro career at 17-year-old and quickly moved through the Diamondbacks organization to land in Missoula in 2013. In his first season with the Osprey, Williams hit .412 in 51 at-bats, and followed it with a stellar 2014 season, batting .386 on his way to being named a Pioneer League All-Star. Shortly after, he was assigned to the South Bend Silver Hawks.

Williams left his mark, owning an active 28-game hitting streak, the longest in Missoula Osprey history that still stands. The outfielder was a part of the trade that brought pitcher Jeremy Hellickson to the Diamondbacks organization from Tampa Bay.

The 22-year-old has a slash line of .267/.323/.392 in 87 games this season with the Rays Triple-A affiliate Durham Bulls.

The O's continue a push for a first half North Division title Saturday as they host the Idaho Falls Chukars.

Osprey ticket plans are available now and can be purchased at the MSO Hub, by phone at (406) 543-3300 and online at MissoulaOsprey.com.
